Open Doors

This summer God has opened the doors for me to go on an MIS medical mission’s trip to Paraguay (in South America) with 5 other Cedarville students.  We will be leaving June 1, 2012, and returning July 7, 2012.  I am totally pumped and excited for this trip!  What I’m most excited for is the purpose of our trip: to be an example of Jesus in action by using medical missions as a way to reach the people of Paraguay.  We will be working closely alongside a stationed missionary family - the McKissicks, who run their own medical clinic in Paraguay and are close friends with Cedarville University.  While there, we will be serving in the clinic and in the bush (rural area) performing all sorts of medical services.  Simultaneously, we’ll be mentored by the McKissick’s family in what medical missions involve.  In turn, we hope to be an encouragement to them as they are doing God’s work.  A neat aspect of this trip is that I will be staying with a national host family for the whole time.  I’m looking forward to this as it will teach me how to integrate into another culture and live as they do while also showing them the love of Christ.
I would ask for your prayers in the area of:
·         All of the preparation: physically, mentally, and spiritually
·         Unity in our team
·         For me to be the hands and feet of Jesus in service to Him
·         Safety
·         For me to raise all my financial support
·         The McKissick’s and our host families
·         Hearts to be open to the gospel and love of Christ

You have no idea how much it means to me to have your prayer support, and I am eternally grateful.  I am so thankful and excited to see what God is going to do in my life through this trip!

I'll try to keep this updated so you can see my progress.

Blessings and in His service
